Believe it or not, when Bunny and Bob Jones first proposed establishing a Ronald McDonald House in Buffalo, it was difficult to get supporters. But they made the House their crusade because they knew how important it was for out-of-town families to have a safe, caring place to stay while in Buffalo for treatment for their sick children. Now, 25 years and 17,000 grateful families later, the Buffalo Ronald McDonald House continues to be a home away from home for families during what may be the most difficult period of their lives.
Over the years, families have received emotional support from our caring staff, volunteers and other families who are experiencing similar difficulties. Just as important, we’ve made sure that the house is welcoming and comfortable through renovations and improvements to its 15 bedrooms, 11 bathrooms, kitchen, family room, children’s playroom and common areas.
Bunny and her late husband, Bob, gave the community a wonderful gift that keeps on giving to families and their sick children. Please continue to support the Buffalo House with your gifts of money, goods, services and volunteer hours.
